eventually, I'll even have this in my own handwriting.
if you like my aesthetic here, I'm currently working on talking about the process over on my substack.
much of the reason why I took on this endeavor as someone who's played around with a lot of coding languages, but wanted to utilize to express myself was answering this question:
my web design sense comes from someone who, as a child, would force everyone to watch the special features on the DVD instead of the movie itself.
don't you love when you open up a website that surprises you? all the silly dohickeys that bands would add to their sites for intrigue, or hell, even homestuck?
does every single website have to be sleek to be professional? sure, compatibility and accessibility are important, but that's just in debugging. we had this jank in the 2000s with shittier computers. I'm currently working on making this site more accessible as I learn more about coding as well.
to me, the tier-list for sites is this:
y'all don't need all the bells and whistles to make your site as special as mine, but shouldn't there be variety out here in 2025? if anything, this can at least inspire you to make something special. at maximum, maybe pay me and I'll build you a website?
answering this kind of thing is really hard for me. it's one of the reasons I've made a website to begin with! for starters, I'm sisi. I'm a creative who can't seem to pick a niche and I've instead decided to go maximalist in all the directions that are of interest to me. maybe from the offset, that looks like someone who's doing a lot at once and a lot of spinning plates, but I've decided to try and lean into interest vs. making myself one thing.
as a result, I've kind of filtered this site into different lanes of how you might find my work and where you can find it. I'm a writer, video maker, content creator, web dev, and podcaster. even working on a craft business! it's possible that some of these areas may be less fleshed out than others, but all of them make up the bigger picture of what I'm about. I do stuff differently because that's the only way I can do it.
